megaesophagus in cats

i have a cat that is 1 yr old now , weighs 3 pounds and has had pneumonia 5 times since june. he has recently been diagnosed with megaesophagus and since learning how to manage it has gone from 1.9 pounds to 3.10 pounds and has cleared out the pneumonia again. i would love to find someone who is dealing with this same disease and compare notes. i have found a diet recipe that i formulated for jack that seems to work well for him and would be willing to share it. jack is having a barium series done in the am. i am worried about complications like aspiration the barium ect. sincerly elissa
