Arrow New puppy on the way

In about 2 weeks from today I will be having my very first dog and I'm not ready for her! Please fellow pet owners, share with my your tips and advices!

>>this is off topic..but today I went to pick up a dog (bichon) that lives 8 houses from my boyfriend's place to bring him to play with his dog and the bichon ran and greeted my boyfriend and never even bothered sniffing me. It was to see. I started to wonder if the puppy I'm about to get will ignore me.
