Red face Found: Black & White Female Cat - Hamilton Central Mountain

This cat has been hanging around Upper Gage and Fennell by the home of a family that has been feeding it. She has been there from about the begining of September (give or take a couple of weeks). The family feeding it responded to my lost cat ad and since they do not have internet access, I'm posting the found cat listing on their behalf.

This cat is very friendly and affectionate to the family, but it is kept outdoors at all times and winter could be around the corner.

This cat is female and has all her claws. She is black and white with black ears, eyes and back. She has a white nose, mouth, chest, belly, legs and paws. She is a larger cat, about 12 lbs.

Please contact me if you think this could be your cat and I'll put you in touch with her adopted family.

Do you have a picture? There are several websites you could post on, on their behalf:

http://www.petfinder.com/ (uner classifieds)
http://www.flealess.org/lostpets
http://www.animalrescuenetwork.org/i...lay?PageID=991
http://www.rapt-lfpn.org/en/accueil.html

I'm sure there are others. Have they contacted local shelters, to see if anyone is missing her? Even if it was a few months ago, they would probably still have the records.

Is there a reason why they can't have her inside? Maybe they could call some rescue groups in the area, to see if there is help available (a foster home). Failing that, kitty will need a shelter for the winter, under a porch or in an outbuilding.

Thanks for helping this poor cat out.

Cindy... LOL... the link you gave me to check out is actually my lost cat. I came across this black and white found cat in this thread while searching for my lost little kitty. So sad.... I'm finding so many other stays, but not my very own little one. Sigh.

Badger.... thanks for those links. I have this found cat and my lost kitty posted on other websites, but the links you gave me are new to me. I will have to add both my lost kitty and this new found cat to those sites you provided.

As for pictures, I actually did take some, but when I went to upload them to this website, they were too big. I need to go back and take more pictures at a lower resolution. In the meantime, if anyone wants to see pictures, they are posted on

Thanks for all your suggestions. I will pass them on to the "adopted" family.

Exclamation

An update to this found cat... someone had turned it into Animal Control in Hamilton 2 days ago. She is has been declawed and spayed, so Animal Control may keep her around longer than the 72 hours minimum stay. If anyone is interested in adopting her, contact Animal Control.

I hope someone adopts her. I think she should have been brought to a SPCA. Hamilton Animal Control euths soooo many. They can euth up to 50 cats a day.
