STOLEN Chihuahua Puppy (winnipeg, mb)

hello, my name is robert, our house was broken into, a whole lot of stuff was taken, but most importantly our 10 week old Chihuahua puppy named Meeko.

here's a pic of him.

Hello, my house was broken into early yesterday afternoon between 12:30
and 1:30, a lot of stuff was stolen, but the most important thing was our
10 week old chihuahua puppy named "Meeko". He knows his name very very
well. He's a darker tan, with a black stripe down his back continuing on
his tail. With another stripe on his tail going the oposite way. A black
tip on the tail as well. The puppy has a white patch on his chest, along
with a white patch on his chin, his face is fairly dark. His two front
paws have 3 white toes and 1 black toe each. He still has his dewclaws.

I'm willing to offer a reward to anyone that gives us information that
gets us our puppy back.

The number's we can be contacted at if you guys get any information are
204-230-1293 and 204-290-9956 or 204-793-3458

Thank you for your time.

You must be frantic. Are you postering everywhere in your neighbourhood, even though the bums who robbed you may not be local. You can fax it to vet offices all over the city, also pet shops. If they are junkies, they may try to sell him for some ready cash. Maybe the newspapers will take pity on you and publish a picture. I really hope there is a happy ending to this story, keep us posted.

along with not being able to sleep, and not really having a break from crying.. it sucks so bad to have a family member go missing like this. My Fiance is just heartbroken to no end, as she loved this dog more than anything in the 4 weeks we had him. She had him at 5 weeks and had to bottle feed him because his mother disowned it.

The dog was in the winnipegsun, we were on globaltv, radio stations all over the city are letting listeners know. I've emailed the picture to so many vet clinics, our local humaine society, animal services, ect ect. All we can really do now is pray pray pray.

I had an interesting afternoon though,

The dog WAS in a CARRY kennel. A cat carrier. Just cause it was that small.

Today on my way to work i decided to take a trip around our backlane, just to see if anything was going down. I got to the end of my backlane as our street starts on it, and then continues the backlane going to another street. There was a red car that matched the description of the car that was seen fleeing our house down our backlane. It turned onto my street and I followed, as this car turned down another backlane, i found it kind of odd. So I followed him down that backlane, he turned down another one and just GUNNED it. So I took off after him, got the plate number and took it down. I lost them unfortunetly because i was just cooling it down or we were going to hurt someone. I turn onto another street to see the car ditched. I phone the cops and they'll probably come and get it sometime next week. The car WAS stolen, it had no key cylinder in it at all, there was stuff tossed all over the place ect.

Needless to say, I might have had a very very good chance to get my puppy back and ****ed it up royally. I honestly dont know what I would have done if I had caught them. And they were obviously back to either a) finish the job on our house, or b) rob someone else. This is rediculous.

Thanks for your prayers though. Appreciate it.

Gee, I don't know, you had no way of knowing if they still had the dog with them and they might have turned on you, although most of these people are cowards. I'd call the police regularly to see if they have found out where the car was stolen from, etc., they probably know these bums already and have their fingerprints on file (and I probably watch far too much CSI ). Please keep us posted.

I am so sorry that this has happened to you and I pray that you get your baby back. Was there any sign of the carry case when you spotted the car? Had they tossed the case somewhere?

A friend of mine is a Chi breeder and I have told her about your situation. She will keep her eyes and ears open and spread the word so if anyone tries to sell the puppy there might be a chance that they know she was a stolen dog.

(if you would prefer she NOT spread the word, please just let me know)

hello. I want to thank everyone for the kind words. Lastnight around eleven the police came and took a statement. They left about an hour later. Another hour passed and we were all sitting in the living room of my house when we all heard a car door close rather hard. I looked out my window and the police were back. They opened the back door of the police car and I yelled to my gf and mother that they had a dog kennel. Everyone ran to the door to great them. And they had our puppy!!!!! Apparently who over broke in gave the puppy as a gift to his grandmother. She saw my gf on the news bawling her eyes out and turned the dog in. So our puppy is back at home where he should be.

Once again thank you for all of the kind words and prayers.

Wow I can't believe people pull stunts like that... I don't understand it. If only Western society wasn't so materialistic then we might not have a crime problem.

Sorry to hear that happened to you!

But it is a happy ending after all, and granny is of another generation and knew what had to be done.

Am glad to hear you got your puppy back!

Wahoo I am so glad you got your puppy back. Bet that grandson got an earful from his grandma, and now the thieves will have to deal with the police.
