That's wonderful news Benmax....that you're kept sane .

Seriously now...thank you for sharing the wonderful news . I often wonder what they're thinking and/or feeling when the pain they've endured so long begins to dissipate? You've made possible a new life for Peaches, Benmax, you've made life possible for Peaches .

As you know LP I have a strong backing. Without them, I could not do what I do. Though they are anonymous here, they are the ones that gave her a second chance, I am only the one that tries to network to get these souls out and into a new life.

This anonymous rescue is amazing, always taking on the ones' needing the most costly vetting I don't know how she does it but she does time and again

Thank you for having her pulled and taking care of her. Don't want to imagine the suffering she would of had endured As LP said you've made life possible for Peaches

Anxiously waiting for an update on this girl

We do it with alot of fundraising such as garage sales, dinners, plant sales, book sales whatever we can. They are a great group and truly care about all animals. I am proud to be associated.

I am picking up Peaches today after work if the vet permits me to do so. They are still monitoring her but so far so good. I will keep everyone updated as the day progresses or if there is any change.

Consider it done!

Spoke to the vet and I cannot take Peaches home today.. They are still running tests on her but the upside is that she is now off of fluids and eats very well (she did while on fluids as well anyways). Vet tells me that she greated her with tail wags so her spirit is up. Her doctor is amazed that this girl is thriving in leaps and bounds. She definately has an incredible will to live. I am so proud of her.

She's home safe and sound

She is home safe and sound. Peaches is a new dog. Wagging her tail, barking and playing! She is such a spirited lovely girl.

She is still anemic but I have meds, vitamins and many vet visits. She will be just fine.

So Peaches is going to know what painless means. She will thrive and I can see already she is feeling so much better.

Thank you everyone for your support, listening to me, and taking this journey with myself and Peaches. I feel like Peaches belongs to all of us. If she only knew how many people love her already.

Thanks to all. You have been wonderful!!!

I have to say, when you first started telling us about her and her problems, I was really scared she would not make it. I'm so happy her will to live was so strong and she was able to overcome that horrible situation you took her from.

I can't wait to see some pictures of her!!!!

Peaches slept in bed with me last night so I could monitor her (not a word about this anyone.....it truly was to monitor). She slept soundly and did not budge that I woke up several times to ensure everything was ok.

What I have noticed is that she is very very thin. I knew it before but now you can really see her bones. She also has loose stools which can be attributed to the various meds she is on for kennel cough, vitamins and pain killer. Also, she is not eating as much as before maybe due to 6 teeth being extracted???

Presently she is on Low Fat food from the clinic. They have asked me to continue this until she is more stable and on less meds. I will follow these instructions of course.

I have Wellness, Merrick, Natural Balance all stocked ready for her. Just need to get through the next few weeks with many follow up vet appointments to ensure she recovers from the operation and also for all blood levels and of course the anemia.

Other than the above - she is doing very well.

Peaches is doing great. She is eating raw (as treats), kibble mixed with merrick can and wellness, chews on bones and has gained about 3.2 lbs. She is looking great, feeling wonderful and is really enjoying life.

Peaches will be going to her forever home this week. She will have a canine companion and a new mom.

Thanks for asking - but all is good with little Peaches.

(new mom told me she is changing the name....oh well...)

Thank you pbpatti. I am very proud of Peaches. It was her will power to not give up....and probably Julia as well. Those two are quite attached....this is going to be very hard for both Julia and I to say good bye....I may need a BOX of kleenex for this one..

I am sure you will need a BOX kleenex but will not need it all, because, you know she will be going to a loving and caring home. Yes you will miss her but now it's time to say goodby - for now. She will always be in your heart and will take a piece of it with her.

True enough. I told them if it does not work out for any reason....she comes back to me. I am alittle possessive with my fosters...can you tell?

I know, I know. I was thinking of this and then the GSD was to be PTS. I had to make a quick decision. I knew that Peaches was safe and would find a home....Maddox was a goner so I made the choice...but it is difficult.
