Limping Cat - Potential congenital problems
I adopted a 2 year old cat and he has started limping recently. The Vet took x-rays and it looks like he has little cartlidge in his joints (birth/congenital problem). He is currently on Metacam for the pain. Has anyone had a similar problem or tried any of the following:
Stem cells to regrow cartlidge Glucosamine/Shark Cartlidge Renewal Anything else? Thanks, Russell |

I have not, but am using glucosamine/condritin(sp?) for my cat who has bad knees. I won't know however if it helps until he gets a bit older.
I hope you find something that works... and we'd love to see a picture of your kitty.

I highly recommend trying either Cosequin or Dasuquin to help rebuild the cartilage. It may take a while before you notice any effects (took about 6 weeks for my cat's arthritic limp to disappear), but that might be your best bet. You should be able to get both from your vet.
