cpietra, you were so right when you said Rose is more comfy around cats than humans. This morning while I was sitting with her, Jasper was at her door meowing to come in and she relaxed so much when she heard him. Opposite as to what I would have thought a momma with kittens to be.

She then started to purr without any patting. I bet she is going to love Jasper.

Mommy is doing very well...and happy to be fed and watered and loved ...she purrs and is the most amazing mommy. However...she seems to like the little Antonio clone if you ask me.....

You know, I think Rose feels the same way, very happy to be secure, fed and warm. Although she doesn't entirely trust me (yet), I think she is happy not having any worries. Now when Rosebud grows up she may be a little bored and want to go outside, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Wow, cpietra your kittens look exactly like my kitties. Today the kittens are restless, I think they got use to our company, now all they want is to come out.

COCO ...yes I thought the same too. There are a few of your babies that look suspiciously similar to one of mommy's babies...a;most like they would hav ethe same papa
I also went to see mommy and her babies yesterday and they are doing very well. they are starting to play and have fun. There are the 2 Pando Bears that seem to be wary of people...or at least me. They tend to get very close to mommy when I come around. I gues I am the big bad lady who puts them ina carrier when I come...I guess they are way too smart.

Once these guys are taken care of I will plan my next attack....this time I will try and get the one and only godfather of all godfathers...." Grandpa"..the one who started the colony I would believe. He is way to smart fo rthe traps. He will go in and get his food and walk out backwards without triggering the trap door...very smart.

The next one will be Mr Gray.He was Roses confidant and protector and playmate ofcourse. My cousin tells me he still looks for her:sad:
Followed by Mommy's forever BFF..he is the dark silent type. He use to protect Angel and Mommy. Now he is going thru a deep depression and still weaits for his beloved Mommy to come back. In my perfect world I will be able to reunite them and have them live together the the rest of their life:sad:....lord now I sound like I am talking about a soap opera..."The Days of our Felines" or General Warehouse.......I think I should head to bed...Claudia fed me some tequila...the mexican way and although it was good....ouch! I felt it today...

I wonder if Rose feels the same way. Breaks my heart.

I know she wants to meet Jasper. He meows outside her door and she relaxes so much when he is there.

Is Mr. Gray a large tom? Could he be Rosebuddy's daddy?

Awwww, poor boys are missing their girls:sad:
cpietra,I had a big tom here several years ago,he was just too darn smart to go in to the trap.
Your big boy is even smarter since he's figured out how the trap works

How come she never gave me any tequila? I use to live right around the corner from her!

Just joking, I'm glad everything is working out and good luck on your next attack.

I need some opinions...Mommy who gave birth on Feb. 24 is set up to be spayed on April 17. The babies are starting to be interested in food, but still go for a drink from mom...so my question is...is spaying her April 17 too soon?

I know they say 5-6 weeks, but that seems so soon...or maybe I just want to make sure the babies take in as much milk as possible....from their mom...I really need to stop worrying...I think...UGH

Hey Benmax, I hope you are well with your foster...and my offer still stands..You can foster Antonio who can get any cat out of their depression....hint hint...or you can adopt him...

As for the Kittens I have 1 boy...Obama, and 3 girls....can't remember their names right now...Obama...seems to be popular this season...
Let me know which one you'd like....

This family has two children (don't worry respectful kiddies) and they are looking for a girl kitten ....who speaks english (so that they can practice).. I told them that the cats are bilingual.

Can you send me photos and I will forward.

Thanks.

cpietra, momma should be spayed no sooner than 2 weeks after complete weaning. There shouldn't be any milk left. With Sweet Pea, I had her done when her kittens were about 14 weeks old.

HI L4H...thats what I thought. But there are 2 different schools of thought. According to my vet and other articles I read a mother cat can be spayed as early as 5-6 weeks. I'm torn between who to believe. I'm sure the vet who's spaying should know more than me...you would think

Spaying a momma before her kittens are wean is just not right, IMHO. When she gets back from major surgery her kittens will want to nurse (5-6 weeks is much to young not be nursing part time). With her incision, it will cause her great pain as the kittens will be kneading and pulling at her teats. She may even take her pain it out on the kittens and hurt them. That is not fair to the kittens or momma.

I wish I could convince them of that but they only want one. You never know - if they go and see them.....anything can happen.

So when are they ready for adoption? Please let me know because they are eager.

Remember the song: "One is the loneliest number", maybe you can sing that to your friend who wants to adopt a kitten .
