Can Affectionate Mean Sick?

Moofums is up here on the couch begging for petting. not unusual for the other 3 cats in the house but she has never done this. she prefers her attention on the fly or sprawled out on the floor. she is all but crawling on my lap purring and rubbing and licking me.... the licking thing has never happened either. i dont want to discourage this by feeling her up now but maybe later i will give her a rub down and some poking to see if anything is out of place. she looks healthy...

lol well we have had Baby Girl for a few years now and she will meow for attention, rub her face all over your feet, purr at you when you walk by but she has *never* come up on the couch when soemone else is sitting on it and begged for attnetion. very aloof cat!! as nice as it is, im a little weirded out by it. she keeps stepping on me.... which is just insanely unusual for her.

Cats are usually less social when they are sick. I found with Snowball he became more affectionate with age.

LOL!

I don't know if you remember me posting about my husband's cat but she has been a really cuddle bunny lately. Yesterday she even got up on the computer desk while I was working!

I think she misses her daddy.
