Rescued Sisters Finally Meet!!
Some of you may know my girl Sadie came from a rescue in Montreal (Rosie's Animal Adoption) She and her litter mate Cookie were abandoned and then saved by the lovely angels that operate Rosies. They were maybe 5/6 weeks old when they were dumped. Sadie came to live with us and she's been here every since in Toronto. Cookie was adopted but recently given back to Rosie's where Rosie's found her the BEST HOME EVER and it's CLOSE to me!!
Cookies family is awesome and today the girls got to meet for the first time since they were maybe 7/8 weeks old!! I nearly cried but couldn't stop taking pictures! I hope you enjoy them....

They are so much alike personality wise.
Cookie is much bigger then Sadie though...I think our missy was the runt

We brought them in to cool off, hot here today...very very hot!
They had a ball with one another, romping around in the newly dug soil where our new walkway is to be off the patio..makin a big mess of themselves and drinking a LOT of water!

I was very fortunate, things worked out just lovely! Fate plays a roll in everything we do, and for these girls having such a rough start in life they sure are happy now
 Tissues passing....(Trixy may just find that long lost sibling too )

Both girls are adorable and so nice that they finally got to meet again. I'm sure Cookies family is thrilled aswell, hey sister and now maybe best friends, hope you have her over often.
 Blaze's 1/2 brother Mr Frodo is coming tomorrow and having a sleep over, lots of fun loads of pics.

Oh they were just so happy to see one another and for us to all meet!

That is just too sweet. TOO SWEET. They look so happy! And they're both so pretty (though our Sadie is still the one with star appeal...) That's very very neat that you live close together and actually got to get them together after all this time again. How fun!
The pictures are fantastic as usual too! Don't even TRY to stop taking pictures, Luba.

I remember seeing them at an adoption day before they were adopted. wow they grew. Almost look pure collie. They are beautiful, and you did such a wonderful job raising her. congrats

OMG Luba reading about it and seeing the pics had me in tears..It's so great to hear they were reunited
.And looks like they had a blast together.And to have Cookie live close to you,that is so great.I guess Sadie will be seeing much more of her sister. You keep those pics coming. Rottielover,they are definately PB Collies.We hadn't seen pics of Sadie for quite some time,but when she came back on and posted the pics of "our" darling Sadie,I definately knew she was all Collie.

Luba,they are soooo beautiful..I am using up a box of tissues,but it's happy tears.After reading about Keeper,who might loose his life because of a Hydrangea and poor abused Grace(now loved and cared for by Canine14)it's wonderful to see two very happy doggies,whom I know will live happily ever after

Thank you all so very much!! It was one of those things you know, when first we were considering adopting Sadie we took a couple of days, as we were actually debating over if we were ready (after our other dog passed away). I was drawn to these girls pictures and when I went back to Rosie's site a couple days later, Cookie was gone. Sadie in my heart was all alone (mush mushy sentimental) and I just felt I needed to take her.
There are always sad sad stories on here and sometimes they affect me a great deal. It's not very often they don't...and yes things run through our minds before we go to bed and such about the poor orphans needing homes, who were dumped, abused, neglected and such. Happy tears in my book are always the best, they're refreshing and healing

Actually these girls are mixed with something. It's hard to tell from the pictures but up close and personal I honestly think they have some golden in them. Esp with the coat. I've had pb collies before and their coats are much different. Sadie is a little more stocky then Cookie, she's the tall one
People tell me all the time she looks pb collie and I dont' mind but I also love having a MUTT P.S Sadie says she's glad to fool ya

People would not know if you didn't tell them that both girl were mixed, doesn't really matter though as they are both gorgeous. Mixed dogs are just a special as pure-bred dogs, my first golden look alike was a dog I had when I was very young Sandy best dog ever :love: Again love Sadie's coat colour.

Cookie & Sadie as Puppies!
Thought you might like to see some pix of Cookie and Sadie shortly after they were taken in by Rosie's Animal Adoption. Aren't they just the sweetest little angels? Look at them now! They are still two very beautiful ladies!

Sadie looks like the runt in that picture LOL I think I figured out maybe what happened to her as a little pup, feeding may have been difficult for her cause of the undershot jaw and that maybe inhibited some of her growth? But she certainly eats well now LOL I'm so glad you came Cookies Mom

Adorable! Both girls are so cute, their eyes say hey take me home we will grow to be the bestest girls ever! :queen: So nice they now live close enough to know each other, same goes for their Mom's. :love:
How old are the girls now?

Here is a pic of a purebred collie,she belongs to some friends of ours,very imaginative name"Lassie",I've shown the pics before,but the newbies have not seen them.
