Question Please help - newly adopted dog

We recently adopted a 1 yr old beagle. He is a real sweetie however he has been peeing in various places around the house. He does it whether we're watching him or not. We take him outside immediately when he does it and then he won't go. Is it because everything is so new or could he be trying to mark his territory?
He is also extremely interested (in being more than just friends) in our spayed mixed breed female. We know he was recently neutered, however he never seems to get tired of trying to get some action. Is this normal and will it go on forever? Is there something we can do to stop it? Please help!

IF he was only recently neutered, then he could be marking territory in your house, and yes, still trying to get some action from your female dog!
Is he actually lifting his leg? Does he only pee in the house, or do both? I ask because I'm wondering if this is a male marking problem, or a housetraining problem.

It takes awhile for all the testesterone to leave the system, but he should calm down.

You must not give him a chance to mark in the house. Either confine him when you can't watch him, or literally attach him to you with a leash. If you see he is thinking of lifting his leg, startle him with a loud "NO!" or handclap and immediately take him out. Do the same when he tries to mount your female. Thoroughly clean where he has marked with an odour neutralizer like Nature's Miracle.

Male dogs who mark in the house often need a bellyband to cure them of this behavior. If watching him closely and preventing him from doing this isn't working you may need to resort to that.

So far he has only gone pee in the house. He is not lifting his leg and not even really squatting - just letting it go? So perhaps its a housetraining problem

He just stands there and pees? This could be a physical problem or urinary tract prob. I would start by having him checked out at the vet.

Ok I'm wrong...he is squatting just not as big a squat as my female, so it's not as noticeable . I'm beginning to think it may just be a housetraining problem or because everything is so new around here. Would crate training be worthwhile now?
Thanks so much for your help. By the way, we're going to the vet on Tuesday to get him checked out.

Get him out as often as you can and reward his urinating and defacating outside with praise and a treat

Nooo it's not a problem male dogs squat sometime and sometimes females lift their legs

Nothing worry about there.
