Fingers Crossed that I picked a good one!

Seems a crap shoot now, so many foods being recalled, my first choice for a new food even got recalled Natural Balance!

So we're gradually switching to California Naturals Herring and Sweet Potato dry, and Merrick's Canned Cowboy Cookout. So far so good, no runs, Fagan's skin is still ok and they seem to like it alright.

This is so frustrating, and beyond me why countries like Canada or the US have to farm out for ANY ingredients.... I mean come on, they are ALL grown right here at home where they ARE regulated and inspected (although not well). Save a few bucks... at the cost of a few lives... sick...

But out of all this, a whole lot of us are getting better educated and I sincerely hope the outrage will lead to action and better regulation and standards.

I know I am going to be much more careful what I feed my kitties and myself, and I have found a great pet store where the ladies are well informed and only carry the best they can find. (They are even dropping Natural Balance because they were slow to contact them.)

Anyhow wish me luck.

And good luck to those still in this pet food nightmare...

Good luck!

I just went through the new cat food search myself and ended up with Solid Gold's KatznFlocken dry, and Go! Natural canned being the ones my fussy cat will eat. I bought a variety pack of the Merrick's after she devoured a can of the California Roll. She only ate 3 of the 8 varieties. So I still get the occasional can of California Roll or Grammie's Pot Pie for her.

it works out for you. It is a good food. I only wish my crew would eat it !

Even though the TO is not working out for my gang, I'm going to hang in for the next two months for the release of the new Orijen.
