*BEWARE Animal Abuser is trying to adopt dogs*

I just received this from my DDB forum. This is info on a woman who is trying to adopt dogs from rescuers and breeders.

Got this email today. Thought I'd pass it along, although I'm not
sure what anyone can do with it. Very disturbing!

Subject: Animal Abuser Trying to Adopt

I am the president of the Wisconsin Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals.

I am alerting as many rescues and shelters as possible to the following animal abuser who is attempting to get a dog:

Amber Phillips is around 23 years old. She is over weight, short and has dark brown hair. She drives a Junker van plate #637CRL.

Phillips currently lives in the Milwaukee area but has recently lived in Cedarburg and West Bend. She never gives her correct address and does go by other names.

Phillips has a history of collecting unwanted dogs from shelters, groomers and vets. She also has a history of working for groomers, vets and animal shelters.

This woman is very dangerous. Recently, Phillips ! checked herself
into the Mental Health Complex in Milwaukee. Before she did that, however, she fed anti-freeze to two of her five dogs and to two of her cats who all died at Milwaukee Area Animal Domestic Control. After she got out of the Mental Institution, she poisoned her only remaining three dogs with anti-freeze.
All three died at the Bluemound Animal Hospital.

We have been working with the Milwaukee Police Department to get this woman charged with five felony counts of cruelty.

Nonetheless, we have been informed that Phillips is attempting to get another dog by sending a friend in to breeders and shelters to get the dog for her. This friend's name is Lanetta and she works at the Bow Wow Club in Milwaukee.

This is not the first time that this woman has killed or tried to kill her pets. Her sister informed us that she fed pills to another dog several years ago when she lived in Cedarburg. ! ; Her M.O. is to load up on animals claiming to be "rescuing" them, then to poison them and then to take them to the vet claiming that someone else poisoned her pets. This last time, she accused Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control of poisoning all her animals.

Please get the word out to as many rescues, shelters, vets and groomers as possible.

Our country puts human monsters to death for violent crimes , and chooses lethal injection because other forms are not 'humane'. Why then do we allow the innocent animals in pounds and shelters to be destroyed so cruelly , when they have committed no crimes? ~Karryn Hart~

This woman should definetly be put away...maybe if she goes a step further and starts in on kids...,let's hope not

I just hope that me posting this will help her not to get any dogs from anywhere. I don't know if there are rescue people on here or not, but I felt that this is important to post.

This woman does not deserve any more freedom.

I wasn't ever this involved in animals (I love animals to death), but never this involved.

You and LR got me motivated.

You posted about Dogs Deserve Better (which I'm an Area Rep for) and LR got me involved in another forum (which I love).

I want to Thank You both!!!!!!

I know I can't help, save, rescue every dog that needs the love and attention that they deserve, but I will do all I can to help.

Hubby thinks I'm starting to loose it. LOL

Because I'm putting alot of time and effort into DDB and trying to help anyone else if they need it (ie. transports, try to donate items).

But he also supports me, b/c he knows this is what I want to do.
