What's up with Mr Snow Face???

It's been snowy here for quite a while, nice dry fluffy snow. Scruffy absolutely loves to stick his back end in the air, curl up his front legs and slide around on his face, first one side, then the other.
I don't see other dogs doing this, just him. Anyone else have a dog who does this frequently, even stopping play to rub his face in the snow? Why would a dog do this? Can't be having hot flashes, he's only two!

Sheriff Cole is a great snow plower, too! He's not happy if he's not covered in little snowballs. Frankly, I think he does it to cool off--he's such a hot-blooded guy.

He likes to roll in it, too, so as to get every available inch of fur frosted.

Ok well if it's normal, I'll keep pulling the snow chunks out of his velcro fur and not worry. He sure does seem to enjoy it.
Thanks all

My girl does this sometimes, she does it with snow, and she does it with mud. i think they just like the way it feels.

Maddy loves to do this too. She is a whole 5 lbs and loves to run through deep snow piles and have a Santa beard before we go back inside!

Luna does it too, in snow, mud and stinky things . Bit if it comes to snowing she will dig a little whole, lay in it and is gone soon.... sometimes the only way to find her was looking for a snow pail........

Snowy dog face

My dog suka loves to stick her snout in the snow, and comes up with a big watt of snow on her nose its quite funny really. My last dog Snowy loved the snow especially freshly new fallen snow, she would roll around in it, bury herself in it jump up like fawn through it lol. Snowy, a miniature purebred Eskimo Dog would pick up and carry icy snowballs in her mouth as I would walk her . She loved the snow.

My dogs do this on the family room carpet when they've eaten something wet or smelly. It's just their very expensive napkin.
