brand spankin' new!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum but not to the wonderful world of owning pets! I have a very handsome black lab german shepherd cross who I got a little over 2 weeks ago! He's about 5 months old and already weighing 50lbs! He looks like an all back german shepherd except for his tail and paws (otter-like and webbed!) He is extremely smart and an all around happy guy! I also have 2 rats who are about 9 months old! Gus and Tex, 2 very friendly males!
I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone and will be posting some behaviour and food questions. Please look for them!
Thanks,
Kandilynn

Welcome Kandilynn, your pup sounds lovely, what's his name? I hope you find lots of interesting info on the board. I think we have a few others who have rats as well. Just so you know, while we look forward to your questions and hope we can help you out, you missed the most important part. You need to post pictures soon!! We're very pushy about that. We'd love to see your fur family.

Welcome!

We demand pics!

I love rats! I've had them before and they're great pets. Good to hear that you're keeping them in a pair since they're very social animals.

Welcome to the board, kandilynn!

And since you've already been sufficiently 'reminded' that pictures are a must, I'll be an and not mention it...

welcome!! my daughter has a few rescue rats, none hand tamed as they were rescued at over 10 months old, a hairless, a dumbo and a common rat.....I do love watching them and my dog loves to nose them through the cages, she thinks they are chipmunks and wants them to come out and play, I too have a lab/shepherd but she resembles mor the lab with webbed paws, long hanging down ears *L* and she is wonderful with kids. good luck with your pup!!
