Smile Buddy's Check Up...

Well it went great... and I think my vet is kind of smitten with him even more so than Fagan! I finally got to see the stitch too... it was his lower left tooth directly behind the canine. It looks to be healing really well no redness or swelling at all. And his teeth look so clean. Everything is pretty well back to normal around here with the cats.

I was really happy that his visit went so well... but.... the car started smoking on the way home!!! Turns out me and my dad (mostly dad of course, hubby had the 'I have to go to work' excuse again ) got to spend our Saturday replacing my water pump!! (not an easy job... dad broke out the curses quite a few times) But now that my car has new wires, brakes, gas tank, fuel pump, water pump, windshield washer cylinder, and cost us like $1200 since Dec...well it's like brand new! (And we were planning to get rid of it in April.... now we might as well drive it till the wheels fall off.... )

That's great news about Buddy... not so good about the car, of course but at least it didn't leave you stranded on the way home!

So will Buddy need to have that stitch removed, or is it one of those snazzy dissolvable ones?

Oh you are gonna love this.... just after I posted this thread I went out to do my errands... didn't even make it down the street before the car started making a weird noise, barely made it through the light, coasted into a parking lot and when I lifted the hood... the water pump pulley had FALLEN OFF!!!! And my belt was frayed (which a mechanic has to change because it is around the motor mount... thanks GM)!!! So I called CAA and it is at the garage today, my cheap $30 fix turning into $200+....

And Buddy's stitch is one of those disolving ones... vet said it should be gone in a couple weeks.

glad Buddy's doing good YAY for dissolving stitches.....hmmmmm how do they know when they're allowed to dissolve

How is Buddy's eating?
How's the separate/meal feeding going for the rest of the gang?

The seperate feeding actually wasn't too bad, other than Smoke wasn't eating nearly enough, so I had to kind of watch for her to come around when the boys were sleeping and give her sneaky meals...

I have gone back to leaving the dry out (in two measured servings a day, I just don't snatch it up after a certain amount of time...that way Smoke comes around after everyone is finished)... and Buddy snacks on it a bit now, but prefers to eat just the Wellness wet. Everyone else turned their noses up at the Wellness though...

And I did finally take the free bag of Medi-cal dental... I figure I can give it as treats to them.

Dahmer,I also bought a bag of Medical Dental a while ago and they are good for treats.I don't think the ingredients are good for the teeth, just the fact that the kibbles are big.
Glad Buddy is ok
