Thank you! Jake is a doll. Very sweet. Dart is too, except has a history of being fear aggressive. I keep him away from people he doesn't know. He's come a long way, though. We've worked hard on re-habing him.

I second that comment, they are adorable, bright eyes ready to leap at the next thing you want them to do.

Dart again. It's so tough getting them together for a good shot. I'll have to setup my backdrop this winter and see what I can do inside.

Oh, come now. You've only got two. We have 5, plus a BC mix, plus an ACD/possible BC mix, plus a collie, plus another mixbreed...and those are just the dogs. Oh, yes, not to forget hubby's hunting beagle.

Seriously though, you've got a couple of beautiful boys

WOW!!!!!!!!! I love it. I'd be in heaven with that many animals around.

I've thought about taking classes on dog training . I love working with animals. I have a pretty good understanding on fear aggressive dogs and aggression in general with them. Dart is fear aggressive, but so much better then a year ago. I think if anyone else had picked him from the litter he would have been put down by now. I wonder how many out of that nasty breeder's pups were given up by their owners because of the poor breeding/socializing they got as pups?

Anyone know of such classes?

And I didn't even mention the rest of the animals. We have a small farm and have poultry (chickens, ducks, a peacock and seasonally meat chickens and turkeys too), horses, a kitty and since my daughter wants to join the 4H sheep club a friend is going to give her a lamb or two for that. We also have fish and a budgie.

BC's are very sensitive dogs. Sensitive to movements, sounds, and so much more. While I wouldn't say fear aggression is "common" in the breed, it certainly isn't unheard of. I've read several discussions about it on the BC Boards forum that I'm also a member of. Sometimes it's related to the breeding/lack of socialization, sometimes it's just the dog's personality. Some BC's too, while not fear aggressive are quite reserved with people they don't know while others will knock you over in their exhuberence to meet & greet. Mine are mostly the latter with one being somewhat more reserved.

Not sure about the classes, though I seem to recall a while back that someone else started a thread about dog training classes. Maybe you can find it if you search in the training forum.
