I swear I am just like a little kid......I get all excited.....fill out the adoption form........then I think.....lol

Ya it was an after thought but I'm not sure how this would work? Rosies seems to be located in Quebec!!!!!!!!! I'm in Ontario

So I am presuming it was filled out but will be probably be ignored for that reason. After all I am at minimum 6 hours away
And penny has an adoption pending....probably with someone alot closer

Live and learn.........and this has been a most learning experience looking for the right friend

The adoption might not go through you know. Lots of dogs have "adoption pending" and then the people thinking of getting the pet decide it wouldn't be best, or the shelter does.

You might still have a chance

Igg's

I'm in Ontario and got Sadie from Montreal

The dog goes to the BEST suited home not the closest!

If they can arrange for a home interview after you apply and you don't mind travelling to atleast meet 1/2 way I am sure they will consider you. Besides it's a nice trip to Montreal.
I wish I had been able to pick Sadie up myself, I woulda dropped in on LR and Chloe

Not yet from rosies....Yet....but i'm lookin I think she liked my application .......she wrote.........

Hello, Deborah,

Thank you so much for your interest in our Rosie dogs, particularly Penny. Penny, has, howver, alreay found a forever home with a good loving family. Please keep checking our site. You sound like real animal lovers, and would provide lots of love and confort to a needy dog.Where is Sunderland, and how far away are you from Montreal?

So perhaps we passed the first stage but penny was gone, so maybe she will keep application on file Im going to write back and let her know if I see a puppy (dog ....I callem all puppies lol) that I would be happy to drive out there or at least halfway

Was thinkin about that puppy on the board looks 1/2 shepherd and 1/2 rottie

Just thinkin of Ursa, not to sure about her, her backside is really sore past couple of days with all the rain she is on pain pills every day , cant be good for her but there is nothin left to do. Personally I think it is her time but my beau is in denial He has had her for 11 years so I think he is having a hard time facing the reality of it all especially with Bandit just passing a short time ago.

The muscle in her back legs has already started wasting away from her taking all her weight on her front She is still spunky at times and loves to go outside when I am cleaning the yard but I put a few movingpads down for comfort so she is not directly on the wet ground and I only let her do that for a short time then its back in the house cause its so damp out lately.

Anyhow Im off to write that letter have a nice day

Iggette.

I do understand what your feeling with Ursa.

My previous GSD Cujo ended up with Rheumatoid(sp) Arthritis. Not cureable. For about 3 years he was on all natural medication and shart cartlidge. He was loosing alot of his hind leg muscle mass.He was not in pain or anything.I was having to carry him up and down stairs. And carrying a 100lb dog is not fun.I was taking him for a walk. All of a sudden he dragged his back end and cried in pain.I knew then it was not good.I got him home and called my vet.The next day we were at the vets.It was time to let him go.It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.But her looked at me as to say,I love you mom,but it's time.God I'm crying as i'm typing this.He was in our life for 13 wonderful years. And he was an amazing dog.And he was great with my daughter. It was very hard on her. They were the best of buddies for 9 years. It's a hard thing. As you already know.We all want them to live forever.

I think I forgot because you already told us all this, but what are your "requirements" for the right dog?

Subbmissive male as I have a dominate old girl

Must get along with cats as I have 8 of em

I have no young kids (well ages 17 21 and 24) they live at home but hardly here and when they are they'll love him to bits

Must like the outdoors, farm life, camping trips, trips to the beach to swim.

Must like to be cuddled and loved to death

I guess it's the first 2 that are most important I don't want the new guy to think my cats are but treats that he just has to catch

I guess I should also add that my daughter is tryin to get pregnant this wont happen over night but should be considered for future reference

Jeese dont ask much huh
