Cleaning up after cat *accidents*
My best friend is having lots of problems with his male cats (mostly) spraying in lots of places around his home. He has been using ordinary household detergents to clean the offending areas, but I seem to remember hearing that any detergents with quaternary ammonium salts in them smell just like urine to cats, and this definately would not help deter them! My question is, what should he use to clean where the cats have sprayed? My mum uses bicarb of soda in her house, but if there is something better I would be very grateful to know about it!
Cheers! |

Stain and odour eliminator
Well for our puppy we use a product called "Stain and odour eliminator" made by natural chemisty. It works on carpet or floors, and is for any type of animal smells. You can get it at any petstore im sure, or something similar to it, i know there are a few different variations. As for cleaning it up with detergent, that wont take the smell away your cat will still be able to smell it even if you cant, seeing their noses are so much more sensitive, especially dogs' noses, and this seems to do the trick quite well. and this particular one is 100% natural so it wont harm the animal at all if they get hold of some. It works really well. http://www.naturalchemistry.com/petcare.htm
But i think the most logical solution would be get the cat spayed/neuteured. Hope this helps |
