Do you know if they need foster homes for any of the dogs(I don't know for sure if I could, but if they're needed I may be able to lend a hand), or supplies?
I would like to try to help any way I can.

Do you happen to know where these dogs were taken from? (What area around Edmonton?) I just recently reported a puppy mill in Wetaskawin...now I'm curious!!

**Edit** Oops, I meant Westlock, not Wetaskawin. heehee!

The Humane Society will be looking for temporary homes for some of the animals and if you would like to help, call 780-491-3506.

(**I the changed link, the phone number is from a different news article.)

Here's a news report on the bust:

http://www.edmontonjournal.com/Life/...136/story.html

We will be at the very least, donating a bag or 2 of dog food. Anything to help.
I will call tomorrow and see what their foster situation looks like.

That is great news. I hope this person is not allowed to own animals again.

They still need foster homes for these dogs. If you want to help you will have to head down to the edmonton humane society and fill out a foster application, as the online foster application is not working at this time.

I really want to go down today, but unfortunately I may have to wait until monday or so

I'm heading to Edmonton today and will be going to the humane society to check this situation out and see how the adoptable dogs are looking. If anyone wants any information on any of the dogs, let me know and I'll try to get it for you.

I have a question. Seeing as how I'm out of county (I'm in wetaskawin county) will I still be able to foster? I would go today but it would suck to get all the way there only to be told I cannot apply. (**edit, I will stop being lazy and just phone....)

Either way I will go down on monday, but I would like to help as soon as possible if I am able.

Argh, I don't know what to do, if I go today I have to leave within the hour......I hate pressure.

Bailey, if I should not be able to go down today, I would love an update on the dogs.

kara,
she had the animals because she was breeding them and selling them on kijiji - the puppy miller and BYB's best friend.
I almost threw up reading about teh story. Many thanks to those who are looking at fostering. Those animals need all the help and love they can get.
It's funny that the paper called it Edmonton's first puppy mill..ya...the first one to be caught more like.
