Meet Winnie my Mini!!
Hi everyone!!
I would just like to introduce Winnie. Winnie is a Miniature Long Haired Honey Cream Coloured Dachshund. She was born Nov. 21st which will make her four months old on March 21st. She is the most loving and quiet puppy I have ever met. (Not a single bark!) She lives to be in my arms, whether it be to sleep or just to cuddle. She has one sister named Katy who is a little bigger than her. Her sister still lives with the breeder same with Mom and Dad. So this is my Winnie(The "Pooper") |

Your Daxie is absolutely adorable. My mini daxie is a little younger than yours, born Dec. 11, 2008, so far he is still quiet and his training has been going well. We've gone a week with no indoor potty, the only issue I've experienced to date is typically like a daxie, if he doesn't want to do something he just won't. He'll sit there with his big puppy eyes and look at you as if your crazy to ask him to come, lay down etc... actually very funny but, frustrating at times. I'd love to hear how your exerperiences have been?

Growler,
she actually sucks onher paws.. it's s cute. Her tongue goes in and out and she just lays there. It's like she thinks it a nipple Pete, I'm not sure how to pm on here as of yet but send me one and we can chat about our pups I've only had her for a week, and she was used to living on a farm having free range. I don't believe there was much discipline or structure either. She's taing a little while to housebreak. So far she's doing ok. I have taken her paper away and since I've done that she has only had one accidnet in the house. However she doesn't tell me when she has to go I have to guess when she needs to go out.. or look for her circling in the living room Last edited by WinnieBear; March 10th, 2009 at 10:34 AM. Hi Winnie, I received your visitor message and then went back to reply to it and it was gone! I am not sure how they work - but the PMs stay in the inboxes. I think you need to make a few more posts before you can use the PM feature. I will watch for it. Your pup is absolutely adorable and very much like my Duke was, colouring wise. Re your comment on being lighter than the picture shows, Duke was as well - until he was about 1 1/2 and then his coat darkened to a rich auburn. All of the girls at the vets were worried when they saw us passing by and grabbed the vet to have a look - she said that he was just maturing. So if fur starts to darken, don't worry. I see that you also live in Toronto - I am in East York - any chance you are near me so that I could lurk on the corner? We go to a vet and groomer on Bayview - just south of Eglinton so I could lurk there as well! I need my Dachshund fix however I can get it. I hope your pup has an Alpha temperament - although you may not feel that way - I just love the big guy in the little body attitude - although of course Mommy never could do anything wrong - Daddy on the other hand!?

How strange? Why does it just dissappear? Anyways!!
Your Duke sounds like he was quite the character. My mom has 4, 2 standards one red, one black and tan dapple and two mini's, one red, one black and tan. They are the cutest things. Rusty the red standard, the alpha is a true Dachshund.. loves to catch moles, lizards, frogs, snakes, squirrels.. anything he can get. Always looking to catch something! Indigo, black and tan dapple standard is a rescue. He was abused and even further abused in his foster home. He is now nervous around stangers, however will lay his life down to portect his family. He is like jekyl and hyde. Sweet if he knows you, dreamy face and all.. but a little ankle biter if you are an intruder. Scarlett, Red Mini is the "mini boss" and the smallest mini I have ever seen. Very affectionate, but knows how to tease the other dogs. (Pregnant in picture) Rocco, black and tan mini, he's the wild boy and alpha want to be. He likes to challenge Rusty for Alpha status. He also has springs for legs, can jump onto anything. Caught a squirrel off the top of a 6 foot fence! I bet you want to see them now :P Haha so here's a picture of them all |
