lucky s story...

About 2 months ago, we were coming back home. it was about 11:00 pm. it was raining. we were getting the kids out of the car. suddenly my 3 years old daugther said.. mommy baby cat.

and next to my feet was a little tiny kitten. I never saw a kitten that thin.
i took him in my arm and look at my husband....what do we do?

he said: we have to give him some food and water he wont survive the night.

we took him inside and fed him. but inside we realize that the poor kitten was really sick. he was sneezing green and red( blood) he had eyes infection and mite.

we could feel the bone of his hip so badly

my husband was like... i dont want another pet.... but i cant put him back outside he is gonne die....and if we keep him to get him better... the kids never gonna want to give him away later....

then... we decided to go see the vet and keep him. he is so a good cat. he already new to use a litter. he is very friendly. never use his claws. Im pretty sure he was somebody cat s... and they did nt want to pay for the medication.

ah yes i forgot. he have a malformation on his lower jaw. he might have trouble to eat dry food when his gonna have his adult teeth. i ll just add water to his dry food to make it softer to eat and he should be ok.

Now he is my dog best friend. they play together all the time.

my other cat tolerate him for now... but they started to eat in the same dish at the same time this week that a good sign

he is now 4 months old. after 20 days of antibiotique his infection is all gone

he is still a little thin but he is gonna be ok"

xxx

What a little sweet baby, thank you for saving him
I know someone else will probably mention this, but it's always better for any cat to be fed canned food, especially this little one who has trouble eating.

You beat me to it chico. Canned food is 100% better for cats than dry. Here is a great site to read: www.catinfo.org It explains why dry food is not great for cats. If for some reason you decide not to switch to canned please do not add water to the dry food unless you are planning on throwing it away after 20 minutes. Dry food starts growing fungus after 20 minutes of being wet.
One other thing - If that is a flea collar on the kitten could it please be taken off. They are dangerous! Too large of a concentration of medication in one place. That and they only kill the fleas in that one area. Much better to get some flea meds from the vet.

Cute kids btw! Kitty is sweet too.

OMG, its like deja vu...
Thank you for taking this lil one in... I have to say, having encountered flea problem myself and having a dog too the best treatment is the treatment they do at the vet, one treatment for the month, and cost-wise it makes much more sense as it WORKS. (THANKS FRENCHY!!!!!!)
I second the wet food recommendation. Gerri has been on wet food from day one and she is doing fabulous.. (I know, I know, pics are due)

I would say Lucky is quite the appropriate name for your new addition .

Kitties seem to know who to run to for help , thank you for rescuing this baby who would probably not survived long outside.

muffy and lucky are alwais together

the first 2 weeks muffy was cleaning him all the time. his face was alwais clean... even if he was sneezing and when his eyes was leeking.

muffy was holding his in her mouth like she would have done it with her own puppy.

she was letting him breastfeed on her... but she did nt have any milk.

i had to stop him. i was scared that could hurt her.

they are amazing together!!!
