old cat hair all mattey

my cat is about 14years old, she lost weight and throws up alot, she also sleeps alot and is not cleaning herself, now her fur is very mattey, i try to push it but
it is all stuck together, what can i do to make it easier to brush and do you think she has a problem??

I would say with those symptoms... she needs to see a vet asap. How long has she had these problems? Losing weight, throwing up, and sleeping a lot or being lethargic need immediate vet attention. Please get her in now.

that it's nothing serious, and can be treated.

Your cat absolutely needs to see a vet. Besides the matted coat issue, losing weight is a sign that something is very wrong. Please make an appt ASAP!

I wouldn't be so worried about getting her mats out as I would be about getting her to a vet for some bloodwork to see what is going on.
