Classifieds that make you cringe

Do you guys ever come across classifieds that make you cringe, or shake your head, or maybe even laugh?

Post em here!

I found this one just now (copied and pasted):

"I am looking for the perfect little tea cup puppy. I have an addorable pink purse to carry her in. I have no children and have a love for animals. Please message me if you have one or know of some one who does."

Thumbs up Ad posted in Grocery Store

A group was gathered around the bulletin board in my local grocery store...chuckling. It read:
THANK YOU to the lady in the yellow jacket who ran out into the traffic last week and saved my dog. I shall always appreciate her efforts. Now would she please return my dog? Phone---:

I found this ad the other day.

Wanted: free male kitten about the age of 4-5 months any colour
I have a female kitten 5 months old and she is a grey tabby and we want her to have kittens with another cat if you could give us your cat to mate with her or lend us your cat please send an email.

I sent them an email but it wasn't the email they were expecting.

Ugh, those type driv me nuts. Also the ones that say, "Want to trade our male dog for your female Bug/Morkie/etc because we want to have puppies."

I have always remembered this one - saw it a year ago...

"Seeking new home for large bull mastiff, 3 years old, male, neuteured but has testicular implants to maintain masculinity".

I've heard of it before. There's even a name, I think they call them "neuticals" or something similar, can't remember for sure.

Yes, I looked it up... they are "neuticals"... apparently it helps the dog "maintain their self esteem" after neuteuring ...

more like a perfect solution for the narcissistic, insecure owner...

, the owner must be a real insecure male . Like a dog cares if he still has his testicles.

I don't have any ads to share, but I hate when (besides the free cat/dog animal giveways) is the people who try and sell exotic animals, like parrots and reptiles/amphibians. To take care of an exotic animal takes someone who knows that species inside and out. Its frustating to see, that people don't have a care in the world. It all about the me factor, selfishness and greed.

here's one.....

I just came across a few ads on a site called "Used PEI", which is an online classifieds site for PEI.

Anyways, besides a surprising number of "male dog for stud" ads and a very "questionable" link to a website where atleast 20 breeds of dogs are being bred, there is an ad for good 'HOUSE PUPS' and 'Small House Puppies'.

I'm not exactly sure what a 'house puppy' is but from what I can gather it is a $300 mixed breed.

There is 2 ads for the same litter of pups, first ad says the mom is a ****zu and the father is a terrier and the second ad says the mom is a ****zu mix and the father is a pure ****zu.

I've been looking at their website, I'm really sure what to make of it. It looks legit, but I suppose thats what they all do.

It's based out of Quebec, not sure of the laws and regulations up there. Maybe someone has heard of this place?

http://www.oranch.qc.ca

Maybe it's a good place, I don't know. Just seems to be an awful lot of dogs being bred there, and it also worries me when they refer to their parent dogs as "the reproducers".

Ya, that's a weird place. From their website:

"We have a kennel permit, in accordance with the bylaws of the municipality and the Animal Protection Agency of the Estrie. We have been inspected by S.P.C.A Canadian and AMIMA Quebec. A visit here, will convince you that there is no horror story as we see on TV, at our Kennel."

I wonder what the SPCA has to say about them...?

Quebec is, unfortunately, a haven for puppy mills and I suspect the one with 20 different breeds is just one of many. Very sad.

I've e-mail the SPCA in Montreal (since the website is from Quebec) and the SPCA in Nova Scotia (since it's the closet to PEI).

Hope to hear a response.

There is NO WAY this is a legit breeder. NO WAY. A legitimate breeder would not breed more than two or three breeds. It's a puppy mill, pure and simple. I want to find them and the owners!!!

Here's one:

"Hi! me and my fiance are looking for a free puppy, we are new to the london area and both had dogs with our family's unfortanletly we had to move away so we would like to get our own puppy because we miss our familys dogs. We are both very loving and caring and can give the puppy all the love and care that is needed for them to be a wonderful and happy dog. We live in a medium apartment and daily walks and food will be definetly provided. We both love animals and can guerentee a great home for a puppy. If you think that we would be a great canidate for your puppy please reply to our add. We know the type of resposibilites we need to handle a puppy and can provide a loving home for the puppy to grow up in. We would purchase a puppy but we are tight on our funds as I said we just moved to London and cant afford to pay up front for a puppy at the moment but can guerentee a great home and all the daily care that is need as long as its free."

If you can't afford to pay for the puppy, how can afford to feed it, spay/neuter it, provide vet care, etc?

And yet another one:

"Pomeranium, 11 month old Male, Not Neutred.

He is a loving dog, but due to a conflict with our other dog we have to find him a new home. He loves people and gets along with our cat. He is house broken. He must go this weekend. He is mostly Black. Help us find him a new home. Call ##########. "

Hmm. Maybe if you neutered him for starters...? And what's with the weekend deadline?

From Kijiji

I have a black miniature poodle that is free to a good home. Her name is Dolly and she is 5 yrs old. She is not fixed. I got her when she was older as well. She is a very well tempered dog. She is great around kids. She is house trained. She is a very lovable dog. I got her for my kids to show me they could take care of her and they have neglected that chore. I am close to her but have a white minature poodle of my own. I am sad to have to part with her. But my kids have to learn.

Wanted: Looking for a mate FAST!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Prince I am a black lab with a little sheperd in me... you can only really see it in my floppy ears. I am just about 10 months, 92lbs, and very friendly, and I love kids I am sadly about to lose my man hood and am looking for that one special lady. Serious inquires only please.
