Play Some More. Please?
I was playing with little baby Derri kitty ( who is nearly four years old, LOL) by wiggling the long skinny stick under a piece of newspaper. I decided it was time to quit so picked up the stick and put it just under the coffee table. Derri followed, sat and watched the stick. Looked at me to see if I would make it move again. Then she picked it up by the small end, dragged it around the coffee table back to the piece of newspaper, laid it down and looked me straight in the eyes. "Play some more, please?"

Aw, what a sweetheart! She's a smart one, that Derri!
On a slightly different note, have we ever seen pics of her, Longblades? (nudge, nudge; wink, wink; hint, hint)

Hi:
It's so neat when our cats decide they want to play. They have such a subtle way of expressing their wishes. We're so deeply involved in our own routines that we very often miss the signs. Our BB - who will be 10 in a few weeks - has found ways of notifying us that she wants to play "stick" or be brushed. To be brushed, she sits on the floor and stares at me and as soon as I stand up, she runs to the kitchen and up the scratching post and gets into position. When it's "play stick", she usually drags it around the room to where you're sitting and does the "stare" thing again until I get the hint. I'm glad that Derri is finding her way to entice you to play with her.
