Umm.. Maybe a dumb question, but is there any risk for your dogs? I mean, on the news they said they were full of parasites..

I don't think they are letting the sick dogs go into foster care. The woman I talked to already knows I own 2 dogs and foster one . I was suppose to get more details tonight. Maybe they'll call tomorrow ?

I'm sure they are really overwhelmed right now and will probably call you tomorrow. Can't wait to see some pics of the new foster.

The response we have gotten from the public is overwhelming. When I last talked to the two volunteers who are taking the calls at 4:30 this afternoon, they stil had over 200 messages to get back to. They have been working on the phones all day(the phone stopped ringing yesterday at 2:00 am and started again at 5:00 am!) - they average one phone call every two minutes!!
I hope nobody gets discouraged and gives up on their idea of fostering. Linda wants to make sure all the dogs are properly checked over by Dr. Leger (the shelter vet) before they are place in foster homes.

I just came back from a little visit with two of the great danes we placed in a foster home (they went right from the barn to a foster home - they are in good shape).........OMG! They are amazing! Not only are they sweet, cuddly and gorgeous, they are perfectly trained!?! These dogs have definitely lived in homes before which makes you wonder where these idiots got these dogs....

What cuties they are! It is amazing that they are so healthy and still have faith in humans after all they went through. I am sure they will make some family very happy.

OMG,these beautiful dogs:sad:
Once again I am proud to be a member of a Forum, where sooo many people are every day heroes, you get me all teary-eyed,a great big hug to everyone involved helping these poor animals
As for the monsters responsible, words cannot describe how I feel
Maybe the government should put a stop to sale of puppies/kittens in Pet-Shops,a start to an end of this lucrative horrible business, but then there is the Internet, ads in the paper..etc,etc...a never ending sad story
With the public outpouring I hope and pray, everyone of these poor dogs will be healthy enough to go to loving homes

OMG they're adorable, I'm sorry I won't be able to help with these ones, I didn't have your friend's name when I got the call this morning. But I'm sure spca have other fosters waiting to help with these beautiful dogs.

1st video clip on link below is a French interview with puppy mill owner She's basically saying that yes she was a little bit negligent (ya think!), went to feed and give water to the dogs every 2nd day (!), admits some of the pens were not clean, loves her dogs, has been in business for over 3 years, and is a single parent with kids and doesn't always have time to take care of her dogs!

2nd video clip on link below shows Linda R at the Monteregie SPCA describing some of the dog's health problems..

I think she has left for her cottage but Debra told me she could get one next Monday. It seems the media will be there today again. I've never seen so much media coverage for this in Quebec and it's about time. I think this time might allow things to change around here , finally !

Dogs from puppy mill

I would like to know if the Ontario SPCA is investigating their so called kennel in St. Catherines. I wonder how this women would feel out in the cold, dark, s that she left these dogs in especially after seeing the video and she looked warm and cozy and obviously not wanting to show her face. The money is everything not the well-being of the animals and the government needs to here this. The prime-minister fosters animals we need to start letter writing campaign to change the laws now. Thank God for all the angels out there that can and do help to you all

It's in St-Catherine Quebec, not the one in Ontario.
