I've had four different dogs, and 2 ferrets.... All completely different!

I guess what I was saying is: I've trained all of them- so this problem is CRAZY to me.

(PS, thank you for not attacking me for being a "bad pet owner" by leaving him in a crate... I find a lot of people on internet forums are really overzealous and attack people when they ask for advice because they don't agree with their "parenting" methods)

There is no one right method for every dog. You just have to find the right solutions for you and your dog.

I apologize for my snarky comment and for making you feel attacked. Not everyone everywhere is going to have the same opinion on things and I'm okay with that. Moving on.....

I'd still recommend checking out some more stuff on Dr. Ian Dunbar's website: http://www.dogstardaily.com/ He's one of the behaviourists/trainers (and a vet) that luckypenny mentioned and has a boatload of good info available regarding all kinds of doggy issues.
