RIP Jimmy

This sweet boy was found by one of our volunteers in St-Lazare, quite thin and hungry. Following examination by our vet, it was determined that he was already neutered (probably dumped by somone who had moved). Jimmy had a wonderful personality and was full of love ..... a trait that seems inherent in many orange cats.

His foster family fell under his spell and adopted Jimmy where he spent a blissful couple of weeks in their care. Without warning, he began to pass blood in his stools and vomit. He also began having respiratory problems.

Following a more thorough exam by our vet (including xrays), we found out that part of his bowels were twisted up into his chest cavity and were lodged between his heart and lungs. There was nothing we could do for him but send him over the Rainbow Bridge.

I shed a tear for each and every rescue that we save, only to lose to disease or severe physical conditions that make their quality of life hopeless.

R.I.P. sweet Jimmy .....

ahhh SOS MIOW... SO SORRY!
I feel aweful for you/ All that work to find out he is a sick little guy. I betcha he had a great last couple of weeks of his life so it was ALL worth it.

Again Im really sorry and I hope you know and the foster family that you all did the right thing!

Thanks Luv .....

It doesn't matter whether we've had the cat for one day, one week, or one month .... it's always hard to say a final goodbye when there's nothing more we can do.
