Found black kitten Kingston Ontario

He is 3 to 4 months old, completely black with copper eyes. Found on Portsmouth Ave and John Counter Blvd.

Came across him to night on my way home from work. He started to cross the road then ran up the road in front of my car, he then ran to the shoulder of the road and stopped. I got out of the car and he came running over to me, the poor thing was starving. I had stopped at macdonald's and he was in the burger faster then you can say "Kibble".

Got a pic of him this morning. We have 4 cats already badger. Just made an appointment at the vet this morning.

Well I wasn't far off in age. He is about 4.5 months old since the vet said those baby teeth are going to be coming out soon. The vet asked me if I was keeping him, said I wasn't sure. After the physical exam, he mentioned shots. I said yes so I guess we are keeping him.

Since he is completely black, I have named him Cole like Coal.

Awww from a coworker of mine who lives very close to where you found this sweetie said she would have loved to have found this kitty. Another awwww from me. Have you reported him to the KHS just incase somebody is looking for him?

I'll call the Humane society in the morning. They have not bothered to get the lost and found part of their website up and running yet, since they changed the format.

I have looked in the lost and found in the Kingston this week and the whig standard, but nothing is there.

Their new website has been up and running for months now and they haven't bother with lost and found, one would think they would want to post the pictures of the found pets even if to eliminate the number of calls that come into their office asking if they found so and so.

But then again I guess there are people who would claim an animal as theirs when infact it wasn't.

I know the new site has been up for a few months, and I would have thought that by now people could post themselves or they would do it. They don't even have an email address related to lost/found so that you can send details and a picture. My happy thought is maybe there are no lost pets to post Now that would be nice.

That would be a great idea to be able to enter your lost pet info with picture as well as market that service to the Kingston area! Bet there would be a lot more reuniting pet and owners.
