This is not a very good place to be asking, gilmickston. The board is very pro-spay/neuter and there aren't a lot of members with whelping experience. If it's been some time since the pups were born and the dam is still having a loose stool, your best bet is to talk to a vet. She may need meds, and it would be a shame if the pups should come down with something, too.

She still needs to see a vet, though. Is there one available for you to call? (I don't know what time of day it is in Ireland )

How bad is the diarrhea?

As far as I know it is not normal. I would take her to the vet to have her checked out since if there is anything wrong she will pass it to her pups while nursing them.

Glad to hear she will be getting spayed.

I hope there is nothing wrong with her......good luck and please post with an update.
