sick dog?

i have a 4 year old lab. she has been acting funny lately. she is usually very active and playful, but she is starting to sleep more than usual and not want play much. we got a puppy about 4 months ago, but they play fine and get along great. just this past week, her nose has been a whole wetter. she still eats the same, uses the bathroom, and everything else normal. is this normal or is she just getting older or what? thank you

If your adult dog is showing no signs of illness - no vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, etc - I would say that maybe the puppy is just tiring her out!

My adult tomcat sleeps a lot more now that I have a kitten here who he plays with a lot.

You know your dog best - if you think she is not being herself, you might want to take her for a vet visit.

Does your puppy have all it's shots, and is it healthy?

well, maybe the puppy is tiring her out. that would make sense. my puppy does have all of her shots, it took almost 3 months to get all of them, but she is finished with everything now. thank you for your reply.

Talking

Were do the dogs sleep at night? Since your older dog was used to being the only dog, he might have slept through the night with you all, but now with a puppy, there might be more playing going on at night, and more sleeping during the day. Just like human babies get their nights and days backwards, animals do to. Just a thought!

Well, it was just a thought. It may just be the play during the day is wearing him out!
