That's ok L4H, you couldn't have known how anal I am when it comes to feeding our dogs .

I don't want to look at another pot, frying pan, blender, etc. for another month .

L-P,you must be soo relieved and so are all of us,I'm sure
I suppose her teeth have to wait until the babies are born.
I everything will work out fine with her pregnancy and that she'll have 5 healthy puppies,I know for a fact, she could not be in better hands

Good news LP! Happy to hear she's eating.

Another thing you could do is mix 1 chicken boullion cube to 1/2 cup hot water then cool with a 1/2 cup cold water but toss in 4 or 5 ice cubes. Then let it cool to a slight warm temperature before letting her drink. This always worked when Gryph & Mollie had upset bellies but they especially loved bobbing for the ice cubes. Acts as electrolytes to build up strength.

Cuddles is doing well. She sleeps a lot but is perky and as affectionate as ever when she's awake. After a handful of kibble yesterday morning, she decided she was fed up with that too . She did accept a few pieces of the Natural Balance roll late last night but then gave up. Finally got her to eat some Wellness canned.

No puppies yet although it looks like her belly is going to explode. She likes to lay on her back with her legs in the air but then can't turn over unless I help her...she's too cute . Her due date is supposed to be this Sunday so if nothing happens by then, we'll be taking her into the vet hospital all the same to be looked at.

It's getting close then! Hope all goes well!

A pic of the legs in the air would be lovely, LP. Just sayin'...

I'll try to get a pic of that soon.

Chico, Cuddles was transferred from a shelter to our rescue organization. Our rescue doesn't have a shelter, only volunteer foster homes. It helps keep the costs down (no overhead or salaries) so all resources go straight to the dogs for vet care. If everything goes well, she should be returning here with her puppies.

Sounds like you have everything all under control LP.

Now it's the "hurry up and wait" game. Hope all goes well for her.

I also concur with the rest. Laying on back with legs in the air picture sounds pretty special.

The belly shot .

She's too adorable, I am completely head over heals in love with her .

Cuddles is now eating about 1/2 cup Orijen and 1/3-1/2 cup of Wellness canned puppy food per day. Super perky and following me around like a little puppy. She even let out her first bark today, it sounded so funny that I thought it was a burp at first . She's doing really, really well .

Of the 20 other dogs that came in with her, only another male Shih Tzu wasn't neutered so we're assuming that is who she was mated with. I saw him today and he's all dark gray and little bit bigger than her.

Her previous owner said that tomorrow is supposedly the 60th day. If she doesn't go into labor, the vet had said we can go to 63 days before bringing her in to be seen. We'll most likely do another x-ray and ultrasound and decide what to do then.

Oh Chico, maybe in another lifetime . She is the perfect pup though , a true lap dog . Our guys are absolutely insane compared to her , she deserves a much, much better suited home. Ours are kept separated from her so she gets the peace and stress-free environment she needs.

Ahh LP you have been bitten by the Tzu Tzu love bug. LOL The little buggers worm their way in so fast. Is she tatoo'd? Yep those tummy shots are cute, she looks like Sophie did when she was full of pups. I am glad to hear she is eating.

I just read this thread now and once again, LP, you are an angel to help those in need.

It is so sad to hear that her previous owner would still breed her at 11 yr of age.

Glad to hear that she is eating now and I hope she delivers the pups without any complications.

Cuddles went into labor this morning. The first puppy was born around 10am and the last at 3:30pm. She had 7 in all although the second was stillborn . The remaining 6, 4 boys and 2 girls are all fine so far and suckling well. Cuddles is the best mom ever . Thank you all for the good vibes and prayers .

Will update soon.
