Well you can always offer your services to help out Sarah Palin ....wouldn't surprise me if she decided to run for President as well.

Well if nothing else she makes me laugh at her inane comments. Donald as much as I think it is all talk right now would bury her in seconds. Not the brightest crayon in the pack (Palin). I really do not think he will there will be way to many conflicts of interest with his business he would have to step away. I will say I give Obama credit for taking on the disaster Bush left you in and he will never get that mess cleaned up in 4 years it took Bush 8 to destroy the economy and the US's reputation around the world. You need another Clinton in power.

I think Clinton was one of the best presidents. I really liked him. As for Obama, I think had he had bit more experience before becoming President, he would be a fantastic President. OK, I still really like him without the experience.

As for Trump maybe he would turn the economy around in the states, who knows, but I,personally would have a problem listening to what he was saying because I would be staring in disbelief over his "comb over"

The cartoon strip "Doonesbury" has been doing a great job of depicting Donald and his combover......with a little bit of wind it swirls everywhere

If he ever DID become president, and I were American, and I had supreme power, my first task would be to call him into my boardroom, and tell him...
"Donald Trump, You're Fired!"

Jon Stewart broke down the Trump comb over on his show last night it was flipping halarious!!
If Trump became prez the first thing he'd do is see if he could file chapter 11 for America as a whole.
The last couple of days the man has done nothing but make a laughing stock of himself, he's making America look like a joke.
His ego knows no limits....what a baffoon!

Apparently, according to this, Donald Trump is against gay marriage. Which I find very predjuidical for a country that is "suppose" to be one of the most forward thinking countries in the world.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) this week launched a drive to "Tune Out Trump" following Donald Trump's decision to use an anti-marriage equality platform as part of his potential presidential nomination bid.

GLAAD points to comments by Trump that were made during various interviews including an appearance on Fox News. They include: "I'm not in favor of gay marriage. They should not be able to marry," and "I just don't feel good about it. I don't feel right about it. I'm against it… I'm opposed to gay marriage."

Critics have said this is a case of Trump trying to pander to a religious conservative base in order to bolster a potential presidential bid.

GLAAD says that this tactic creates animus toward LGBTs and their families and puts Trump out of step with the public when four recent polls have all shown majority support for marriage equality in the United States.

From the GLAAD blog:

Trump is sending the message to the 1 million gay couples who are raising approximately 2 million kids in the United States that they shouldn't be treated equally. He wants their viewership for his shows and their money at his properties (Gay and lesbian travelers spend an estimated $17 billion a year for tourism), but Trump doesn't want to allow them the same dignity and respect as all loving couples and families. This is both an unfair and unwise business practice.

Trump has taken to disparaging the families of gay and lesbian couples as a tactic to get attention for his candidacy. Using Trump's own famous catch phrase, we would like to tell him "You're fired!"

**************

I wonder how trump would of voted in the 60's about African Americans being allowed to marry white Americans? Would he of voted No or Yes? It sure makes me wonder.

I hope he doesn't run!

As an American I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the actions of my country. This is not the first time he said he would run. I think he is doing it for the publicity.
We are not "forward thinking". Our president can't make a decision without congress smacking it down and holding their breath like a spoiled child. Nothing has been done, because the president's birth certificate is more of an issue than his policies.
There is still a lot of prejudices, the environment isn't given much thought, healthcare is outrages and uncontrolled, the first place we cut spending is schools, the elderly and government programs that help the poor. To have healthcare for all would be "socialist". Our economy is a wreck because of poor management. We allow industry to dictate politics. This country is in a poor state and it needs an overhaul. Donald Trump is not the person to do that. I don't believe any candidate is going to make it better. This country needs to turn off the reality TV and get involved in real issues!

Sorry, I have been on a role lately about political issues and I'm quite ashamed of my country at the moment. I want to send it to it's room to think about what it's done!

The US is sooooo far from being the most forward thinking countries (and they are not alone, I don't think Canada is too far ahead).

Did you know that US falls LAST in the world for legistated paid time off for working people (Canada is 3rd from the bottom )? Boy, talk about being in the dark ages of slave labour.

I totally believe that. We get so little vacation that it's no wonder there are so many health problems. I know I could use a much longer vacation!!! If Donald Trump or Sarah Palin become anything close to resembling someone that can make a major decision, I will get plenty of vacation. Because, I will be moving to Europe!!

They are forward thinking as long as they have slave labour to make money for them. Canada is bad enough to their employees, but the US is worse.

I met an Australian while skiing in Jasper who told me he spends 6 weeks in Jasper every year. I asked if he was a teacher and he said nope, that was his vacation entitlement every year. I couldn't believe it . Then he told me that many people have about 5 weeks , plus stat holidays . Can you imagine what a great life you could have?
