Cat things

Just to say hello,
I have 4 cats one of the , cats, Ales, has a liver shunt . This was one of the worst the vet has ever seen , tried to operate but thought the problem was inside the liver. We decided not to try further surgery as the survival rates on this were not great. We were then told that he would have 18 months to 2 years max on medical management and prescription food.
Ales is nearly 3 very happy symptom free mainly and is in great condition and the vets are speechless !!
Would love to hear from other cat owners with liver shunts

Welcome to the forum!

I think just like with people, doctor's can tell you their thoughts on a person's health, but it's not a certain thing, when my dad was in the hospital with a spine injury and was told he would never walk - he walked out of that hospital - as long as a person and animal are persistent and motivated they can do wonderful things! I am sure Ales will give you much love for a while

We will be patiently waiting to see pics of your family!

Welcome to the board, Shelly44!

I sure would love to see pics of your furry crew including, of course, your miracle kitty, Ales!! How wonderful that he's doing so well!
