Red face i added pics to my intro

Hi, my name is Kristi and I'm from Edmonton, Alberta . I am currently a student and have much to do right now! I have (or rather they have me!) two neutered male cats. Shadow and Rochester (Chester for short). Shadow was a stray kitten that I found in December of 2004. NOW, I know your not supposed to pick up strays buuuttt... when I found him in a snowy field in -35 weather with the wind knocking down fences and also roofing shingles, he was covered in mud and so very tiny, lying there mewing up at me. I took him home and cleaned him up, and when I bathed him I discovered that he was shaved. Thus I suppose the mud. His little 3 pound body was shaved clean. The only parts they didn't shave was his head, legs and tail. Even his belly and around his neck was shaved. I took him to my friends vet the very next day to get him checked out. He was dehydrated and starving, among other worries. What was worse, I discovered he was about 6 months old, not the mere kitten I thought he was. The vet thought he would die, and proposed to euthanize him for me, free of charge. I of course, said NO WAY, this little baby CAN be saved. And he was. With perserverance and love, my little Shadow put on weight and was dewormed, slowly becoming a beautiful cat. Now, I got Chester from our animal shelter here in the city in October of last year, at 6 months old. Shadow did not like him at first, but he loves him now. Chester has been a joy for me, he's so playful and happy all the time. Their toybox is always empty now, with toys scattered all over just as soon as I put them back in the box! They love playing together and will covet toys beneath their behinds when the other would like to play with it. They nap together in one basket, even though there's two. Chester loves to dunk his entire head right into the fish tank, obviously fishing. I love them so much, and could not imagine coming home without them greeting me right at the door.

Welcome. Your two sound like real characters. And good for you to have saved poor Shadow and for giving Chester a new and loving home. Do you have any pictures?

Strangely, it's not catnip. Just a raw hyde mouse...he likes toys, period!
