just saying hi

my name is kristina. my pup, nehemiah, and i reside in miami beach... he is a four month old, black and tan doberman pinscher... nearly 30 lbs., paws as big as his head, and growing, growing, growing. i have chosen not to crop his ears; consequently, he thinks he can fly. i'm not so sure he can't... (his name means "comfort," by the way, because everyone asks...) he is my only furbaby and i have my hands full! we just discovered this forum a couple of days ago, and are as impressed as we are grateful... i've already picked a couple of your brains, as miah had a bit of a cold for about two days. happy to report, his sniffles subsided and he is, once again, into absolutely everything!

so, that's us. just saying hello. look forward to the information i will gather here and will always be open to learning... so, feel free to share any wisdom a new mom may need to keep a happy pup happy!

kris & nehemiah

WELCOME!!!! So glad to hear you won't be cropping Nehemiah's ears. Dogs are always cuter when they have floppy ears! Would love to see pics of your pup!!!!

Welcome on board! I look foward to getting to know you and your fur baby more. I am SO GLAD you are not cropping his ears. I think you are making a very good descion there. They are always so much cuter with their ears they were born with.

Welcome Kristina! Don't feel sorry for these guy up there in the cold. When you're dying of heat, they'll be showing beautiful scenic pix of mountain lakes where their doggies get to swim. Almost 70F here! And include a chocolate glazed donut with nut sprinkles for me!

dunkin' who?

ok... you guys are killing me w/ this donut thing! don't you know that miami's premise revolves around eating disorders and leather skin? i don't think i've seen a donut shop since i left nashville, tn - and that was more than four years ago! i believe the drug of choice around here is tofu! maybe a little sushi! hahaha

i've not joined a group of this nature, (or any other, for that matter), until now. and i must say, i smile everytime i visit! i will certainly oblige your request for pictures... just give me a minute!

thanks, thanks, thanks!

Emergency !!!

Quick, everyone, make a donut run to Krista !!
I volunteer to drive to Miami (with a stop at the outlet mall in Dogpatch, Ky and the Shell House Restaurant in Savanah, GA). Sorry Krista, I guess they will be "day old" donuts when I get there.

Anyways, welcome to our funny, furry family. And I for one will be sweating along with you this summer in our 40C humid weather. (That is 110F for our friends)

If we had "smell-o-rama" on computers, I'd show you what comes first! Must be torture for dogs!
