Cat won't leave litter box!

Please help. My neighbors cat won't leave the bathroom. It sleeps in the litter box. They've taken him to the doctors 6 times. All test are ok.

Can you give some details? How long have they had this cat? Where did they get it from?

Lots of cats from shelters or other places where they may be cages all the time do sleep in the litterboxes. They get over this in time.

Hi, They've had the cat for 3 years. It's like all of sudden the cat won't leave the litter box. Is it possible the cat could have a badder infection and the doctor's aren't picking it up?

That sounds like a strange thing. Is it possible something scared the cat and he has gone into the litter box because it is his place of protection?
