I hope everyone will email and complain.

Dog fighting sites

I'll do it but the scum just move them. Don't worry , they talk too much in those forums. As much as they warn each other not to some just 'ain't so smart'.

How smart are they?

Enter TANT as the last name

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster has created a task force against dog fighting. It puts dog fighters in jail and usually results in arrests for guns, drugs and outstanding warrants. You should of visted some of their sites when that happened. No longer is it probation - it's jail time.

Man gets 40 years in prison
DOGFIGHTING MASTERMIND
On Monday (11/22), convicted South Carolina dogfighting mastermind David Tant was handed the strictest sentence ever given for dogfighting: thirty years in prison. Circuit Judge Wyatt Saunders pronounced the sentence after Tant pleaded guilty to 41 counts of dogfighting, following a raid on Tant's property last April in which investigators seized dogfighting paraphernalia and 47 pit bulls. The raid came after a surveyor was shot and injured by a booby-trapped gun on the property. For that offense, Tant was convicted of assault and battery and received ten years in addition to his 30 for dogfighting.Tant’s conviction marks a major victory in the fight against illegal, organized dogfighting. David Tant has long been associated with dogfighting groups and is well-known as one of the biggest breeders of fighting dogs in the world, selling dogs nationally and internationally. Said South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster, who prosecuted the case under his newly-created, statewide, dogfighting task force, "This sends a message to dog fighters and people who would participate in this vicious, brutal activity that there are consequences for their actions.

NOTE:
This effort is also privately funded and they need to raise over $100,000 a year to make this thing work. Send a few dollars and help send a dog fighter to jail.

Thanks for those links 2dogs. I'll check them out. Through reading on this site about BSL (then researching), I developed a love of the Pitbull.... Since then I have developed a passion to help.... in whatever small ways I can. The direction I seem to have gone, is in regards to dogfighting. The suffering is one thing I cannot allow to have no effect on me.... So along with trying to aid a local rescue in shutting down puppymills, I am researching the best way to physically help stop dogfighting. Right now it envolves searching the net for pro-fight boards, recording info, and writing letters. I hope to soon become more involved in the process of shutting down these fights.
I often laugh at myself, because I have never been a real "animal person". My parents didn't have pets until about 6mnths before I moved out, I was attacked by a lab as a child.... and up until about a year ago harboured a fear of animals. When BF finally got me to give in and get a dog, I was very reluctant..... It was the best decision of my life.... and the most time consuming.... Sheriff opened the door, and I fell in love. Thinking about the terrible things that could happen to him, spurred me into helping other animals in need..... BF has always been a supporter of rescue/welfare groups for animals and SPCAs, he has a HUGE soft spot for animals.... one I have now got too... I think through osmosis??LOL
Sorry for the long rant, Just trying to explain a little of who I am, and why the issue of dogfighting is so important to me.

If you have the time, you might want to find out who the local authority is that is interested in dealing with the issue. You could also forward any addresses you find to the FBI (if they are US) or RCMP (if Canadian). They may be interested in them, because organized crime is involved a lot of times in the "sport".

Get em'

One of the reasons the Attorney General of South Carolina does this is because it is exactly what you said it is...organized crime. I guess it takes a real Attorney General to do something like that, not a wimp like Bryant who only seeks publicity. I guess it all comes down to your values and your ability as an Attorney General. Any idiot can attempt to impose BSL and find some support. Congratulations Mr. McMaster on a major victory. I hope you have many more. Mr. Bryant you are a wannabe. I guess it’s true, those who can do, those who can’t teach (my apologies to all other teachers).

I also have fallen in love with pits for exactly the same reason - due to the research I have done on BSL. As sad as it made me to go through dog fighting sites the conviction of Tant was certainly an early Christmas present, so is the suspension of Qyntel Woods from the Trail Blazers basketball team...the lost of income and endorsements is much larger than any fine a court would impose. One by one is the way to take these guys down and if you can be satisfied with those kinds of results then it truly is a good feeling to watch one go down.

Also send an email every time you read of dogfighting investigations on web sites of local TV stations – no matter where. Let them know you appreciate their efforts to keep the cities safer. Remind them that any human capable of these acts are also dangerous to humans. Thank them for their effort and ask them to follow up on the trial and hopefully the convictions. Let them know that their efforts can hopefully stop just one person from participating in dogfighting. Judges are more likely to convict if there is press in the room. Do what ever you can to get the press there.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Especially, Mr. Tant. Enjoy the Turkey Roll.

Here's one. Send an email.

Send an email praising the efforts of the police and the news. Let them know that the plea bargain however was the incorrect thing to do. Still she is still up on one charge.

Great letter 2dogs!!
On top of celebs like Qyntel, Rapper DMX has this in Rollingstone "DMX scored his fifth consecutive chart-topping album with The Grand Champ, which sold 312,000 copies last week, according to SoundScan. The title of the rapper's latest is apt, a reference to the victor in a series of pitbull fights."

DMX is big into that kind of thing. If you've ever seen him in an interview, you'll understand this guy is a classless stain on the underwear of life. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

DMX - sooner or later

He lost his truck, was almost crying on camera over a $12,000 watch he claims the police stole (please enjoy it, officer) and was conditionally released. What do you think the chances are this loser can stay out of trouble for a year? Sooner or later he'll have his rent paid for him....by the state. Also his music and movies suck and I even like rap - but not crap.
