Nova, Cody, and the Kiddie Pool

Well, I decided to bring out the kiddie pool this afternoon since it is just so hot outside! My Aussie Cody really has no interest in the pool, he'll just try to drink the water and thats about it.

So it's quite amusing for me to have a dog that takes such serious interest in the pool. The contrast between the two of them outside is funny. Cody just lies around in the shade, occassionally brings me a ball or tackles Nova, but for the most part he's lazy on hot days.

Nova doesn't care what the temperature is. She was ready to go-go-go, and I think my pictures pretty much demonstrate that, lol.

Cody enjoys lying around on hot days

Or strolling around the yard

Then out of nowhere this happens, and they start playing for a while.

My neighbour came outside and Cody kept barking at her, so he ended up going inside and sleeping on the air vents. He isn't complaining! Nova's fun continued with the pool now that her 'toy' was gone.
