Sharing my food?? Are you crazy???

LOL..this happened the other morning and I couldn't believe the "stand off" between these two!! Tux decided to watch Brick eat breakfast, so he just sat there staring. Brick didn't really care at all, didn't growl or anything!! Then they sniffed each other and went on with their business!!! Odd creatures!!! It was RATHER cute though!!!

I love when dogs and cats look at one another in that 'gonna attack' mode but they don't...they wonder why they're not gonna do it. Get that puzzled look on their faces and decide to forget they're supposed to be enemies LOVE that! They're really very cute together.

I think I'm lucky Tux is so tolerant!! Brick is such a pest - he is always following him around and on his case all the time....he likes to nibble on Tux's back, and twice now we've found a clump of hair missing.....not even sure when that happened cuz we are always around...sneaky bugger!!

Spunky won't have anything to do with Brick, just stays in her room in her little bed unless I come to get her out. I worry about her though - I wish she would venture out more. Any tricks?? She is 11 and I don't want to traumatize her any more than she already is......she has never liked dogs and I've never pushed the subject!! Poor girl!!!

During the day the cats have the office and the back room which are attached so they can roam free without Brick bugging them when we aren't home. But unfortunately that is where Spunky stays most of the time. I make a point of course to play with her and visit her in there, or take her out to the couch, but she still worries me!!

Catt,I would not worry about her,as long as she gets love and attention, females(cats!) do have strange quirks and if she has made up her mind she does not like dogs, that's it

I guess I'm just feeling guilty - like I shouldn't have gotten a dog until she was gone. She always gives me this look that makes me want to cry!!
I know its crazy, but for many many years it was just her and I. When I got Tux she wouldn't come near me for weeks. Now I impose a dog on her royalness!!! LOL I just have to keep making a point to give her loves!!! Summer is coming so I will have a lot more time for everyone!! I love my job!!!

LMAO Mel!! You're sooo funny!! Yeah, we recycle, but not as much as I'd like!! No space in our little house, and not enough facilities to dispose of the recycling!! Our city seems to be so environmentally behind the rest of the world!! I've started composting but I find it yucky, so its taking some getting used to!!! I recycle in my classroom too..... its one of the major Science units we teach here in Grade 4! It really opened my eyes to wasteful packaging and stuff like that so I'm very careful when I shop now. Is recycling a big thing in AUS??

we try to make recycling a big thing, we have a few environmental campaigns on tv and in the general media. the system is different everywhere here too, in my last town you had to take recycling to a sorting center yourself, where i am now it is curb side recycling for everything, we recycle so much paper that i put out up to 5 huge bags each month (2 people). and only put my bin out every 2 months, i try to recycle everything, i have plastic containers dating back to 1995 that i still use daily, i save any rubber band, pieces of foil you name it i try and save it. i actually has a friend that saves empty cigarette lighters, he is convinced that one day they will be able to reuse them so he is saving for that moment, he actually picks them up in the streets and anywhere he finds them, he has thousands. resource use is one of the most important issues in my life, without our natural resources we are totally stuffed so preservation of these is paramount. my husband actually works with recycling waste gasses from coal mines to be used as electricity, he is working on a grey water system to recycle houshold water at the moment also. and i will never have to buy a padded bag for mail again, i have hundreds
