Unhappy Kidney Failure

Hi guys, i have some bad news... Bully is not doing good. On Sunday, i had to rush to the emergency vet. Bully was puking and had trouble just standing up.
The vets think it might be kidney failure... I currently cant afford any test to be 100% sure

They wanted to keep him for 2 days and ruin some tests... 1500$!!!

Im really sad that i cant afford it...

Ive taken Bully bad home and kept giving him alot of water so he doesnt dehidrate. He's been sleeping about 20 hours a day since Sunday, it is now Wednesday. He seems to have ups and downs... He doesnt seem to be suffering, just has no energy.

I REALLY hope that whatever he has is not as bad as they think! I just cant imagine being without him...

Hes 19 months old now.

Ill keep you guys updated. Right now im thinking of 2 solutions if it gets worste.
1: Put him up for adoption with a family that can afford whatever needs to be done.
2: Might have to put him down if he suffers too much

I am so sorry but please check out this link it may be the help you need. I would gladly help but I am not working and am tapped out. This may help Bully and give him a big hug and kiss from me and Clark. Also you may be able to find a vet that will work out a payment schedule. You could also get pedalytes (sp) they are in the baby needs or ask the pharmacist they will keep him hydrated. Good luck hoping for good news

Bastien, I hope things work out for you and Bully. Have you searched on line to see if there's anything you can do at home other than keeping him hydrated? Have you applied for a credit card that you could maybe use to get him treatment? I'm sure others will be along to give you some ideas on how to help Bully stay comfortable, sorry I have nothing to offer advice wise. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

So so sad It is awful when they are not well and we don't know why. I really hope he can bounce back. Sounds like you are doing your best to keep him comfy.

LONG SHOT: have you checked ALL THE RECALLS lately? They change everyday...it maybe could be the food or treats you are feeding???

19 months just seems way too young for kidney failure

Good luck!

I'm so sorry bastien. I hope and pray that Bully can recover. Is it possible that he got into something? There are many, many household items that can cause kidney failure. And as previously mentioned, there are several dog food recalls right now (several of the foods that are manufactured by Diamond which includes Kirkland (Costco), Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul, Taste of the Wild etc). This is a link to the most current, expanded recall showing both US and now Canada:
