Unhappy Arthitis in Dogs

My toy poodle seems to have arthitis in his right rear leg. Is this possible, or is it another hip problem. He has a lump in in his hip on the same side. He is 8 yrs old. Had to vet and this is what he told us. Never heard of dogs having arthitis. I would app. any help or comments.
Thanks!
Warlocksmith.

Dog sure do get arthritis. Large breeds much more commonly than small, but any dog can get it.

I don't know if that is what your dog has, but you need to find out what is causing the lump.

Did your vet take x-rays? How did he diagnose the arthritis and what did he say about the lump?

Yes they do get arthritis.I have one that has it.But he doesn't have a lump. And my previous one also had it but never had a lump.

I too would like to know if any x-rays were done.

Has he checked the lump?It could be something else.

How is your dog acting?
