Lost Cat: Grey Persian in Sooke, BC

We've lost our 'Clyde' in the Whiffen Spit area of Sooke, BC. He is a 12 year old grey male Persian. He is sporting a tattoo in his right ear. His is very friendly and isn't wearing a collar as he is a strictly indoor cat. Unfortunately for us he 'escaped' Oct 01 about 7:30pm. If you see him please give us a call at (250) 642-7682.

Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear about Clyde .

Indoor only kitties do not usually venture far from home. They find a place to hide and only come out when it is very quiet, late night early morning. They may not even come out if they hear you calling them.

Keep his litter outside and a box that he can hide in with some of his toys. Check on it through out the night for him.

Ask your neighbours to look under their deck, in their sheds, etc. Take a flashlight at night so you can see the reflection of his eyes when you peer into bushes. Take a bag of his favourite treats with you to help entice him to you.

Good luck and keep us posted.

You can also leave out tuna or salmon. Also talk to the people on your street, not just neighbours. They may have seen your cat and one, not know it is yours and second, they might not know your cat is missing.

Thanks for the advice, we have posted flyers and spoken to just about all of the neighbors. Many of them have helped search but no sign of him yet. We've left food out and leave the garage door open enough that he can get in, so far only raccoons have been into the food...

I've just gotten in touch with a MAR technician and hopefully she can help. I'll keep you posted.

Found! He just came home on his own, hungry and full of burrs, but none the worse for wear. Thanks for all your help.

That's great news.....okay, maybe not so much about the burrs. At least he's back safe and sound.
