I was at Mondou pet food store today and noticed that they are now selling Eagle Pack Holistic Select foods.

I agree but hey maybe they are testing the waters with holistic food. If enough people buy it maybe they will start selling something even better. We can only hope.
I usually buy Nutro foods for my foster dogs because I feel it is an okay food and easy to find here in Quebec because of the Mondou chain. I would much rather see them feed a Nutro food than a Science Diet or Eukanuba and hope that they will continue to feed what I have been feeding the dog. Now that Eagle Pack is sold there I will be feeding my fosters Eagle Pack.

Not sure if I'm hoping for them to get into holistic... The little ma and pa holistic stores have enough trouble as it is.

This is true but we don't have a Ma and Pa holistic store around here.

I am on the south shore. There is one little place not too far away but one day he tried to sell me food that was almost past its due date. The due date would have passed before I ran out of the food. When I told him I was not interested he tried to sell it to me at a reduced cost. When I refused to buy it he became kind of sarcastic (for lack of a better word) so I said thank you and goodbye.
I could travel into town or out to Woofers which I have done in the past but it is really out of my way.

Copperbelle, have you looked into ordering food online? I hear it is cheaper, although they probably charge plenty for delivery.

Mondou

I buy my dogs food at a store in the U.S. so that is not the problem. The problem arises when I have a foster and I need a specific food for them. I always have to either drive 40 minutes, cross a bridge etc.... It is a pain and it would be so nice to have a store in the area that sold decent food.

Maybe I will look into opening up a store that only sells quality dog food. What do you all think?

It'll be hard if you're competing with big chains like Mondou for the same market.
