Animal Control in Pierrefonds

Good info for anyone who loses/finds a dog in Pierrefonds. Our Animal Control is:

Controle Animal Vaudreuil/Soulanges
1269 Harwood
Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC
450-510-1508

www.canindusuroit.com

It is also a boarding kennel and doggy day care.

Can't comment on their services. Am not familiar with them. I only know that I could have salvaged my day off if I had known about eight hours ago WHO takes care of Pierrefonds or at the very least WHERE to find out. It is not an adverstisement for their services...it is just to let people know where to call in this situation.

I highly recommend this kennel. These people take great care of dogs (and cats). It is kept very clean at all times. Dogs get taken out for walks several times a day. It is a small family business.

There are so many things wrong here. As an Animal Control Officer, I would have to disagree with their policies concerning boarding and doggie-daycare.

First letting unvaccinated animals interact with other animals is very foolish. Strays that come in are often sick. With strays you don't know their history, so they could be putting healthy animals at risk.

Housing healthy animals with possibly sick animals is unacceptable.

I think I've seen it once, when we took Harwood to go to Hudson from Vaudreuil-Dorion, there was a place on the right hand side of the road.

We don't have any plans of boarding anyone for now, but it's good to know this place exists should one of the dogs get away (or the kitties!)
