I have my first job interview today
First major storm of winter and doesn't it have to be today.

I've applied for over 70 jobs since I lost mine in mid July and I've finally got my first interview. I haven't interviewed for a job in 29 years, so needless to say it'll be a whole new experience.
Unfortunately I live near the airport and this place is in Oakville. I don't have to be there until 11 so hopefully the roads will be a whole lot better before I leave.

CLM goodluck with the interview this morning,, you'll sinch it. oh and grace came home from work around 4 am from Oakville and said the roads weren't too bad.

Well, I got there about 45 minutes early, ha, ha. The roads weren't that bad. Interview went well I think, but then what do I know. I guess we'll have to wait and see. She did ask if I'd be available to come back for a second interview, which I thought was a good sign anyway.

I drove from Burlington to just north of the Airport this morning and it took me 2.5 hours. Got on the road at 6am and didn't drive into the drive until 8:36.

A 2nd interview is a very good sign. for you.

When I was laid off in May I applied to many places (25 in the first 24 hours) and only got one or two calls back. I was lucky enough to get a job from a customer of mine (at my last job) with in days of getting laid off (I was with the company for 8 year to the day - I got laid off on my anniversary).

This economy sucks to say the least, but there are signs it's getting better. I just think companies are scared to start hiring just in case things start going down hill again.

CLM A second interview is a very good sign. 45 minutes early huh, you're just like me. I'd rather sit for an hour than be 10 minutes late. You just never know what the roads will be like. Congratulations on the great day you've put in so far.

Sounds like the interview went well if they are asking i you will go back for a second interview.you get the job.
