Good news about Lucy!!!

I took Lucy to the vet this morning for a re-check after being on metronadaloze for 7 days. No more fever and no more weezing and she weighs two and a half pounds. So, finally she was able to receive her vaccinations!!! Her eye is nearly normal and now we are just fighting to stop the diahrrea. The vet said that her stomach is distended and full of a lot of gas. She gave me some dewormer to give her on a weekly basis to be sure that she is rid of all the roundworms. So, I'm hoping that in a few days, the diahrrea will get better and then Lucy will finally be healthy (I hope!). The vet told me to give her 1/2 teaspoon of yogurt twice a day to help build the good bacteria back in her intestine.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me with your helpful advice, suggestions and comments. You restored my hope!!!

I have been following your trials with little Lucy and I just wanted to say how happy I am that things are looking up for her. You're a very good momma & Lucy is very lucky to have you. My thoughts are with you & I hope that there are no more bumps in the road for Miss Lucy.

No, thank YOU! It's so nice to read about someone like you, who is undertaking such expense and trouble for the sake of a little ordinary kitten.

Little Lucy will pay you back for your devotion to her!

Amazing news!! So good to hear it!!

Thx so much for the update...as LR says it's great to hear of someone actually going through the 'everything' and not just giving her up!

hugs
