dog bleeding
I have a female pit/sharpei mix. She is aprox 5 years old.
a week ago she seemed not well...wouldnt eat but was drinking lots of water. She is now eating but is bleeding as if in heat but heavier than normal.(she is dripping blood when she walks and leaves a puddle when laying down. Is this normal? |

WHY IS THIS DOG NOT SPAYED?!
1 in 600 pitbulls find a home at shelters (the rest are put to sleep), and you are keeping your pit mix un spayed? Not to mention when this is happening you aren't taking her to the vet? I can't tell you if she's in heat, or if something else is wrong. I can't see a thing. But what I can see is someone who needs to get their dog spayed now. -Sara |

If she wasn't eatting a week ago, you should have taken her into the vet then. But all I can recomend is take her to the vet now. Unspayed dogs chances for cancer are increased highly - thats why spayed dogs live longer. She could have cysts in her uterus that are bursting - this is very painful for a dog... and when dogs are in pain - they do things like retreat, stop eatting. etc.
