A newbie here!
Hello.
I'm the Pet-parent of Kelly, a 4 year old Border Collie cross. I'm also the real parent of two daughters, ages 11 and 9. There's a really good possibility that Kelly is pregnant (oops!) and although it's not what we planned, we do want the best for her. Just thought that I might find some useful info here. If early in the pregnancy she can be spayed still, it is less risky than a pegnancy that goes wrong, plus you would not be contributing to an already bad situation where over a million dogs are euthanized each year in North America due to a lack of homes, plus it would lessen her risk of developing mammary cancer and maybe developing pyometrahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyometra but what ever she should go to the vet for a checkup and if she continues into the prenancy she will need to have a higher protein diet maybe supplements and to make sure she is progressing well thru her pregancy much like you had to for your children
