Ummmm, Jim, she is yelling because, you, her servant, isn't quick enough to get out of bed and bring her toy to the top of the stairs so she can bat it down again.

Amanada is adorable with her little barrette in her hair

I agree with L4H. You are part of her staff and if you would just serve her all this meowing would cease. LOL.

I have 2 whiny cats so I know what you are going through. Is there a way to deny access to that staircase during the night?

I once had a cat that would bounce her ball down the stairs all night, carrying it up and then batting it down again. Thump, Thump, Thump, although she didn't meow at it. What we did to keep the quiet, was to hide her toys at night. She then learned to sleep at night, and we played with her in the evening.

That worked for us.

I have one cat now that yowels while carrying her toys, and her toys have to be in the same room I happen to be in at the moment. Again, toys are hidden at bedtime.

take care
binky

I guess you can't put the toys away for the night? If only it was that easy with our demented cat. She is 19 and has had some kind of cognitive dysfunction for about 2 years now. She howls for no apparent reason. If it took just putting toys away to stop her that would be easy.

Probably your Manda would then yell at you to go get her toys, right?
