Question Getting back to RAW after intestine surgery

My parents' dobey is in the hospital now... She ate a piece of a tennis ball and it got lodged in her intestines. They operated and a part of her intestine was in a very bad shape so they had to remove 25cm of it...the next 24 hr is critical so hopefully she recovers well :

The dobey is raw fed (mostly chicken quarters, turkey wings, backs, organs, etc.)

My mom asked me to consult with the pets.ca raw feeding experts... how should she get the dobey back on raw after an instestive surgry? Is there something she shouldn't feed? Anything she needs to watch out for?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Poor baby...hoping she heals asap .

If it was one of our dogs, I wouldn't feed any bone at all until they've recovered 100%. In the meantime, bone meal and/or crushed eggshells can be added to meat and organs. I most likely wouldn't be feeding any bone other than soft bone, eg. chicken carcasses (but not on it's own... at least 75% meat with it) and chicken necks. I no longer feed wings or legs/thighs because two of our guys are already having a difficult time digesting them; I would imagine it may be risky feeding it to your parents' dog as well.

Lots of good healing vibes being sent her way .
